The official Node.js and Python SDKs are ready for server applications. Both clients cover calculations, transactions, adjustments, batches, and coverage checks.
Install the package for your runtime
The Node.js package includes TypeScript declarations. The Python package supports synchronous use and an optional async client.
| Runtime | Install | Package |
|---|---|---|
| Node.js and TypeScript | npm install salestax-node | npmjs.com/package/salestax-node |
| Python | pip install salestax-python | pypi.org/project/salestax-python |

Keep the API key on your server
Both SDKs read SALESTAX_API_KEY from the server environment by default. Keep the secret out of browser and mobile code.
Make a request
The quickstart has a runnable request in cURL, Node.js, and Python. It shows the input, the saved calculation response, and how to read the outcome. Every endpoint page has its own request and response examples.
